i dreamed of the day not far in the future
that I would be real

the man in the outsize visor
promised me that day would come
he didn't tell me it was a pun

those days were difficult days
a motion picture is a hard thing to be
i practiced in my dressing room

not knowing I was watched
sometimes there was only half a room
sometimes a tent

once in Salinas on the Gengis Khan picture
I had to change in the open desert
every one of my clothes caught the wind and blew away

unweighted skin
