in honor of the new year I have decided to write poetry
the only snag in this plan is that I only know how to write bad poetry
however that is only a snag if you have something against bad poetry
which if you do you should probably just turn around
and walk out the virtual door

this is a dedicated bad poetry space so bring your bad-poetry-appreciating face

some people think that bad poetry needs an excuse such as e.g.
"rediscovering the joy of playfulness in language"
or "maybe someday it will turn into good poetry"
I could not disagree more
bad poetry is its own reward
bad poetry is what you will find here

in 2019 i made a resolution (with above biographical statement) to write one bad poem per weekday. if I may say so myself i succeeded. or in any case there are posts on all those days in the shape of a poem, some with more line breaks and so on than others.

in 2020 i will continue to bring the bad with a minimum of one poem per week month, but no promises as I am a human being not a machine and technically i have, or ought to have, other interests.
