song of grimy cupboards

I lived alone for a pretty long time
and while I did the cupboards became covered in grime
I didn't notice it at first
but slowly it got worse and worse
and now I turn around and find
cupboards gross with flecks of grime
fingerprints and spots of stew
now I know what I must do
I have to clean it up myself
and then I have to wipe the shelf
I shouldn't have been such a slob
to make this such a grimy job
but now it's done and time flows on
some day the grime will all be gone
