everything changed in the end
May. 30th, 2019 07:45 amEverything changed in the end I don't know why
People who previously had been just people with feet and arms began to fly
and from the sky far away very far away darkness began to fall
But in another more important sense nothing changed at all
I wrote a short story once where everything was the same
for twenty-one pages then somewhere just out of the frame
a raccoon came creeping stealthily toward the domestic trash
of a couple having problems and made quite an emotional crash
tipping over the garbage can that was also a metaphor
for all of the rotting secrets they had bagged up and held in store
as the raccoon slit open the biodegradable trash bags with its claws
and scattered the eggshells and tampons and whatnot in defiance of mankind's laws
well the point is when you see your personal fluids flung around with animal force
you have no choice really but to get a divorce
some people do not like this kind of fiction in the least
but I am notoriously easy to please and therefore a different beast
