song of the stain

stain I have scrubbed you and scrubbed you and still
you haven't come out though I exert all my will
I can't keep my mind on poetry while you sit there
staring at me with your ink eye a-glare
this is a true poem I didn't just make it up
I soaked my inked pants in the sink which is like a cup
only bigger with a plug in the water to drain
if this stain doesn't come out surely will my tears fall like rain
