evolution (the poem not the theory)

if a bird loses its wings
and doesn't fly anymore
has it become some other things
does it become a dinosaur
a long time ago there were lizards
today there are lizards still
they were simultaneously transformed by wizards
into monsters by the force of will
there were millions and millions of creatures
just swarming around in the sea
some of them lost their distinctive features
and gave birth to you and me
