this poem is out standing in its field

this poem has hauled forty ton bags of manure
from one end of itself to the other
just to boost its own nitrogen i.e. make it truer
with the help of its wife and her brother
this poem was depleted as sterile as lead
this poem is now full of shit
it's only excretion that keeps us all fed
I hope you appreciate it
the growing of poems is hard like the growing
of regular plants and of livestock
it's brutal just getting to reaping from sowing
try it sometime and you'll get a shock
so anyway that's why some poems are bad
it's hard work to grow them so don't get mad
