I had a dream I was going to Venice for free
with a brand-new bag full of compartments
so of course I spent the whole dream being me
messing up things in many departments

I filled my new bag full of various things
Then left it at home while I boarded the plane
Then I tried to go back for my bags as the wings
of the airplane ascended o'er tarmac in vain

I once read a book where a guy dreamed of Venice
again and again till his brains grew too hot
so his real trip got canceled and he never saw Venice
or maybe it was some other city I forgot
