if it were angry it would have a perfectly good reason to be
but the sea is incapable of human feeling
if it were capable of feeling it wouldn't be the sea
there used to be seas and now there are none
in places that nothing will grow on
sometimes it's our fault and sometimes there no one
to blame for the wreckage and so on
the sea is not sad it won't weep for the dead
that sink to the bottom and silt
it's not lashing out when it ruins your bed
and all of the frail lands that hope built
the sea can't make choices the sea doesn't act
it's just moving by physical laws
the sea is nothing but terrible in fact
when it grabs you with its salty claws
